This nationally recognised course – a customised provision approved by LANTRA AWARDS – is now in its tenth year. It is designed to enhance your knowledge and understanding in deer control and management at professional level, not only from the deer stalker’s angle, but from the estate management viewpoint.  It will increase your understanding of the complex issues that are crucial to appreciating how biodiversity, land-use, forestry and deer presence interact, and therefore how they can be managed without detriment to one another.

The DMC course is specifically designed for those with some experience in deer management, especially those who wish to increase their professional portfolio, it is of equal benefit to those who may be seeking a career in professional deer and wildlife management. 

Those involved in the formulation and implementation of management strategies, land agents, managers and indeed owners who are seeking to reduce negative impact on agricultural and forestry crops, take advantage of the current Forestry Commission woodland grant schemes (WS1) or generally enhance estate incomes will find this course highly beneficial.
